DELTA H FISTTMgoes far beyond "other" combustion and control system diagnostic devices; many times a good hint is all that's needed, or a "live brain" to help figure out the solution.

We have designed dedicated devices for rapid troubleshooting and repair of
industrial combustion systems and other controls (U.S. Patent No. 5,608,657).  These devices, called DELTA H Fast Interactive Services & Technology (DELTA H FISTTM) provide a means to quickly identify the cause of nuisance shutdowns and start-up problems, and if necessary, allow off-site experts to trouble-shoot and communicate voice repair instructions to maintenance personnel - immediately and on-line!   Most problems can be solved without the need of a
service call and the associated costly down time.

The Delta H FistTM is available for installation on most industrial combustion systems
and is available as a key component of our various levels of service agreements.

How DELTA H FIST Works
DELTA H FISTTM consists of an interface installed in each combustion system, a single portable interrogator, and a cordless 900MHz telephone with headset.  When a problem occurs the interrogator is simply connected to a previously (and permanently) installed interface.  The interrogator recognizes interface and is now ready to help solve a problem.  If the combustion system will not start, the interrogator will display the combustion system component(s) responsible.  In the case of intermittent nuisance shutdowns where the combustion system can be re-ignited, the interrogator can be connected while the combustion system is running.  Upon the occurrence of a shutdown, the interrogator will store the "first out" component memory.  Up to 10 first outs can be stored and reviewed.  The first out memory can easily be accessed to assist in troubleshooting.  DELTA H FISTTM works with most existing combustion systems and flame monitoring devices, rewiring is not required.

A DELTA H FISTTM users guide is included for basic troubleshooting of combustion systems.  Simply reference the indicated problem area in the guide and follow the suggested diagnostic sequence.  Many common problems can be solved without the need for outside assistance.

An internal modem allows for connection of the interface to our offices via a single telephone line.  The supplied 900MHz cordless phone with headset is connected to the interface and we are ready to go.  A maintenance person simply calls our office on our dedicated DELTA H FISTTM lines (24 hours per day, 365 days per year), we answer and discuss the problem.  We can monitor all critical combustion system functions, in "real time", from our computers.  Not only can we quickly identify the exact area of a problem, we can fix it!  Switching back to voice mode, the maintenance person can now serve as our eyes and hands and can be guided through a troubleshooting / corrective action.
